Halstead, M.D.
Dr. Halstead is a world-renowned
scientist. His scientific studies have been concerned with marine
biotoxicology, toxic plants and animals of the world, global population,
chelation therapy, traditional medicinal plants, radiation sickness,
AIDS, cancer, adaptogenic immune enhancement and nutrition.
He has served as a
consultant to over 40 governmental and international agencies
such as the World Health Organization, UNESCO, U.S. Army, Navy,
Air Force, National Institutes of Health, foreign governments
(Soviet Union, Peoples Republic of China, and Cuba), domestic
and foreign universities, research institutes, and industry. He
was a member of the GESAMP (The Group of Experts on Scientific
aspects of Marine Pollution) of the joint IMCO, FAO, UNESCO, WMO,
WHO, IAEA, of the United Nations. He was selected by WHO to serve
as a participant at the Stockholm Conference involving 150 countries
of the world in 1972 to deal with global pollution. He has served
as a consultant to the Jacques Cousteau and Jean Michel Cousteau
organization. He is a professional diver.
He has authored fourteen
books, which include his monumental 5-volume work on Poisonous
and Venomous Marine Animals of the World, as well as over 300
other scientific publications, some of which have been translated
into 8 languages. He has traveled in over 150 countries of the
world. At the present time he is conducting a major study on the
poisonous animals of the world and their treatment.
Dr. Halstead is the
founder and Director of the World Life Research Institute, which
is an international documentation center specializing in biological
poisons, medicinal plants, pollution, traditional medicine and
nutrition.
Dr. Halstead was recently
appointed as an honorary advisor to the Institute of Radiation
Medicine, Beijing, China. Dr. Halstead's latest scientific treatise
is on Chinese Adaptogenic Nutritionals in the treatment of AIDS,
Cancer, and Radiation Sickness, which is presently awaiting publication. |
