Dr. Bob asks: Are you Vitamin D malnourished?
Vitamin D3 deficiency, ionic calcium starvation and acidic pH can be a deadly combination. My friend Dr. Carl Reich grew up in
Years later, by piecing the pertinent elements together Carl, by now a trained medical doctor, was able to finally identify his father’s condition as having been a combination of vitamin D3 deficiency, ionic calcium starvation and acidic pH. This means . . .
· Constant exposure to the heat caused his blood and tissues pH to be acidic.
· His diet lacked sufficient essential fatty acids making it impossible for his blood and tissues to absorb the circulating blood calcium and vitamin D.
· Subsisting, as he did, on a calcium-deficient diet, he lacked the ionized calcium necessary to neutralize his excessively high pH.
· The end result amounted to ionic calcium starvation.
Because ionic calcium has the ability to neutralize or buffer excessive acid and bring pH into normal levels, Dr. Reich’s father’s acidic condition could have been easily and inexpensively detected—with a one-inch piece of pH paper dipped in his saliva—then nutritionally balanced as indicated.
Today it is a widely accepted fact that over-exposure to the sun’s infrared rays may cause cancer. But, what is less well known or understood is that this is true only if one is deficient in essential fatty acids and ionized calcium. Naturally ionized coral calcium, with its wide spectrum of major and trace minerals, helps rally the fighting forces of the blood and immune system to maintain the body’s normal, slightly alkaline pH levels.
Here’s how it works:
· The sun’s rays convert skin oil to vitamin D3 and put it into the gut.
· Vitamin D3 picks up ionized calcium from the gut and puts into the blood.
· Essential fatty acids move ionic calcium from the blood into the tissues. EFAs are found primarily in polyunsaturated oils: fish oils or flax seed oil.
· Without sufficient EFAs, calcium cannot be absorbed into the tissues causing blood calcium levels to increase. When tissues and organs suffer from calcium starvation, an out-of-balance blood-calcium will be the result.
Check out the next part for the consequences of long-term high blood-calcium levels with low tissue-calcium levels can do to YOUR body.
